The Cape Breton Regional Police Retirement Association was formed in 2007 to create a feeling of brotherhood among its members, protect members' rights and benefits, visit the sick and attend funerals of deceased members, and honour the memory and service of deceased members.
Registered with the office of Nova Scotia Join Stocks and incorporated under the Societies Act of Nova Scotia, the Association operates under a set of by-laws, an Executive and a Board of Directors. Approximately 20 members attend monthly business meetings, which are open to all retired members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Service.
Members of the Retirees’ Association actively represent the CBPRS in the community, lending volunteer support and assistance for the planning and hosting of various projects, meetings, conferences and special events. Their navy blue blazers bear the CBRPS crest.
