Three people face charges after two separate vehicle stops as part of ongoing Cape Breton Regional Police investigation into illegal drug activity in CBRM.

On September 26th, Street Crime officers stopped a driver on Commercial Street; they located an axe inside the vehicle and found the driver in possession of Cocaine, Ritalin and Suboxone, as well as a large quantity of cash. Gordon Joseph England, 60 of Glace Bay, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, Ritalin and Suboxone; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.

Street Crime Officers intercepted the occupants of another vehicle on September 30th, where it was parked on the Esplanade in Sydney, and found Cocaine and a knife. They then executed Search Warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a property on the Esplanade – where they found additional drug paraphernalia – and on Holland Street in Reserve Mines, where they located a previously reported stolen Polaris Side by Side vehicle.  Robert Francis Murphy, 32 of Reserve Mines, and Nicole Shawree Weatherbee, 31 of Reserve Mines, are both charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose and Possession of Stolen Property; Weatherbee was also charged on a Warrant for Failing to Attend Court.
