Two men face charges after separate vehicle stops as part of ongoing Cape Breton Regional Police investigation into illegal drug activity in CBRM.

On January 2nd, Street Crime officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Victoria Road & Catherine Street in Sydney, where they found the driver in possession of Cocaine and cash and then executed a Search Warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Victoria Road; with assistance from the K-9 Unit, they located close to 100 grams of Cocaine and approximately $7,500 in cash. Stephen Bruce MacDonald, 61 of Sydney, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Street Crime Officers stopped another vehicle on Victoria Road January 3rd, where they found the driver in possession of Cocaine and cash, and then executed a Search Warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Holland Street in Reserve Mines. Officer seized more Cocaine as well as other drug paraphernalia and a replica firearm. A 30-year-old from Dominion was arrested and later released on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court on February 26th, charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
