Three people face charges after Cape Breton Regional Police seized close to 1 kg of Cocaine in recent weeks, as part of ongoing investigation into illegal drug activity in the CBRM.

Street Crime Officers executed two separate search warrants under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act: at a residence on Emerald Street in New Waterford on September 3rd, they seized approximately 300 grams of Cocaine and cash; at a residence on Brookside Street in Glace Bay on September 17th, they seized approximately 500 grams of Cocaine and other drug paraphernalia.

Murray William Tait, 56, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime; Edward Francis MacDonald, 68, and Jaclyn Leigh MacDonald, 34, are both charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine.
