Two people will appear in Sydney Provincial Court today for Cocaine trafficking, as a result of ongoing Cape Breton Regional Police investigation into illegal drug activity in CBRM.
On January 17th, Street Crime officers stopped a vehicle in a rural area on Morrison Road, where they seized Cocaine and arrested the driver and passenger, and then executed a Search Warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Ellsworth Avenue in New Waterford. In total, officers seized more than 500 grams (20 ounces) of Cocaine with an estimated street value of $60,000, as well as over $3,000 cash and other drug paraphernalia.
Kenneth William Gracie (44, New Waterford) and Leanne Faye Rich (35, New Waterford) are charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
