Cape Breton Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance locating a 25-year-old man, wanted for vandalism to trees on Charlotte Street in Sydney.
In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 11th, a number of newly planted trees and their decorative lighting were broken, totaling more than $10,000 in damage. With video surveillance and information from the public, police were able to identify the person responsible; after several attempts to locate him, police now have a warrant for the arrest of Gregory Joseph Daisley, to be charged with Mischief (Damage to Property), as well as a Breach of Probation and several Breaches of previous Court-ordered release conditions.
Daisley is originally from Ingonish and has been known to reside in other areas of Nova Scotia.
