The man arrested in connection to a July 23rd death inside a residence on Macaulay’s Lane in Sydney now faces a charge of Second Degree Murder.
Leonard Anthony Tenass, 34 and from New Brunswick, but currently residing in Sydney, is remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre following investigation by the Cape Breton Regional Police Major Crime Unit, with assistance from Forensic Identification officers and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
While the investigation is ongoing, police continue to treat this as an isolated incident with no further risk to public safety.
