A Sydney Mines man is scheduled to appear in Sydney Provincial Court today connected to a robbery at the Florence Army-Navy Legion.
Cape Breton Regional Police were originally called to the Legion at approximately 11:30 PM on June 23rd, where staff reported that two men had entered the area of the bar and demanded money, while threatening they had a weapon and then left.
Using video surveillance, police were able to identify potential suspects and through further investigation, officers were able to locate and arrest one of the men October 7th. John Brent Chisholm, 56, is charged with Robbery with a Firearm.
Police continue to investigate.
