Two people face drug-related charges after they were caught running from police Wednesday afternoon, July 31st in North Sydney.

When Cape Breton Regional Police attempted to stop a car for a driving complaint, it drove off a short distance before the occupants abandoned it on Clearyville Street. Additional officers and a K9 Team responded to the area, catching up with a man and woman matching the description of those in the vehicle, in the area of Court and Pleasant Streets. On arrest, police located Cocaine, and after a further search of their belongings, seized close to 100 grams of Cocaine, as well as prescription pills and other drug paraphernalia.

Sheldon Christopher Maclean, 39, is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, Possession of Hydromorphone and Possession of Methylphenidate. Candace Marie Holder, 30, is charged with Possession of Cocaine.
