A 37-year-old man from North Sydney faces charges after a motor vehicle collision July 31st in Bras d’Or.
Cape Breton Regional Police responded to Church Road on Hwy 105 at approximately 9:30 PM, where two vehicles had collided in the intersection. One person was transported by EHS to Cape Breton Regional Hospital with serious injuries and three others were assessed and released by EHS at the scene. Officers spoke with the people in both vehicles, noting one driver who showed signs of impairment; officers arrested the man and requested a breath sample, which he refused.
After further investigation, Jason Joseph Vickers was charged with: Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle causing Bodily Harm and Refusal of a Breath Demand.
