Three youth charged in connection to stolen vehicle

August 9, 2015

At approximately 6:00 AM, a Cape Breton Regional Police officer on patrol in the Prince Street area of Sydney observed a motor vehicle which had previously been reported stolen. 

The officer stopped the vehicle and arrested 3 male youth inside, who now face charges of Theft of a Motor Vehicle, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Joyriding and Public Mischief. All three were released on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court on October 7th. 

Police continue to investigate; similar charges are expected against a 4th youth.
