Ronald Edward McCormick was remanded last night for a September 23rd appearance in Sydney Provincial Court. Police have charge him with: Uttering Threats, Assault with a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, Using a Firearm to Commit an Offence, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Careless use of a Firearm, Careless Storage of a Firearm and Storing Ammunition for a Restricted Firearm.

Police initially responded to a domestic call at the Albert Bridge residence at approximately 6:35 on September 18th, where a male had barricaded himself inside his residence after his wife left the house. Police learned there were firearms in the residence and contained the area to begin negotiating with the man; members of the Emergency Response Team also arrived on scene to assist. A short time later, police used a Taser to arrest the male, who was then treated by EHS and taken into police custody for further investigation, led by the Major Crime Unit.
