At approximately 3:30 AM, police noticed a vehicle on Prince Street, Sydney travelling at a high rate of speed; police engaged emergency equipment to stop the vehicle - a Toyota Yaris driven by a lone male who did not comply. Several police units continued to attempt to stop the vehicle through the Sydney area, then on to the Sydney Glace Bay highway, eventually ending on Elm Street in Dominion where the driver fled from the vehicle, but was apprehended by police after a short foot chase. 

Braeden Maxharraj was later remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre until his Court appearance, when he'll face charges of: Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Exceeding .08 mg, Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Assault with a Weapon, Flight from Police and Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest.
