Two facing charges after motor vehicle collision with house

December 6, 2018

Two New Waterford women face charges after the vehicle they were driving in struck a Plummer Avenue residence overnight.

Cape Breton Regional Police responded to reports that the car hit the front of the house at approximately 11:30 PM on December 5th;  the homeowner was inside, but no one was injured as a result of the collision. Officers arrested two females at the scene, who were both demonstrating signs of impairment.

Upon further investigation, the 27-year-old driver was charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a Vehicle while Over 80 mg; the 21-year-old passenger was charged with Mischief and Assaulting a Peace Officer. Both were released this morning, on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court on February 6, 2019
