Cape Breton Regional Police will have extra officers patrolling the area. The no-parking zones in the downtown area will be enforced.
Due to limited parking availability downtown, there will be free parking areas located at the Open Hearth Park. There will be a Transit Cape Breton bus that takes passengers from the Open Hearth Park to the Rogers Hometown Hockey site (Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion) at no cost. There will also be a wheelchair accessible transit bus for citizens with physical and/or cognitive challenges that takes passengers from the Open Hearth Park to the Rogers Hometown Hockey site at no cost. Signs will be posted in the park area.
The busses will make multiple trips, and proceed up Ferry Street, make a right onto George Street and travel north to the Esplanade, where they will drop passengers off in front of the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion (the wheelchair accessible transit bus will take passengers directly to the front doors).
