Traffic Advisory- Lane and Road Closures

Cape Breton Regional Police are advising motorists that work will begin on the milling and repaving of the Sydney Port Access Road and the Esplanade this Wednesday, June 15.

Work will begin on the Sydney Port Access Road on Wednesday, and traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction zone. CBRP are reminding motorists that traffic control will be in place, and to expect delays. The milling work on the Sydney Port Access Road is estimated to take three days to complete, however the reduced lane will remain in effect until the work is completed.

Once the milling is completed on the Sydney Port Access Road, crews will begin work on the Esplanade. CBRP are reminding motorists that traffic control and detours will be in place, and to expect delays. The milling on the Esplanade is estimated to take one day to complete, however the detours will remain in effect until the work is completed.

After the milling is completed on these roads, the repaving will begin.

The total time to complete the milling and repaving on these two roads is estimated to be 3 weeks.
