All routes start and finish at the Victoria Park Armouries. Runners will be present on the Esplanade, George Street, Dorchester Street, Ferry Street, Dominion Street and along Victoria Road as far as the South Bar School. These roadways will remain open to traffic, but motorists are advised to expect delays.

To get from Ferry Street to Dominion Street, runners will also travel through the Open Hearth Park trail system; barricades will be put in place on roadways leading into Open Hearth Park, restricting vehicle access throughout the duration of the event.

Cape Breton Regional Police will be patrolling the route, with extra traffic detail in place. Officers, volunteer course marshals and CBRM crossing guards will also be present at key points along the route.
