Traffic Advisory - Cape Breton Fiddlers Run

All routes start and finish at the Victoria Park Armouries. Runners will be present on the Esplanade and Kings Road, Dorchester Street, George Street, Intercolonial Street, Ferry Street, and Terminal Road. Runners will also travel through the Open Hearth Park trail system, where barricades will be in place along Ferry Street, restricting vehicle access into the Park throughout the duration of the event.

The Esplanade will be closed to traffic between Victoria Park and Prince Street; from there, the inside lane of Kings Road will be closed to traffic through to Kenwood Drive. All other roadways along the route will remain open to traffic, but motorists are advised to expect delays.

Cape Breton Regional Police will be patrolling the route, with extra traffic detail in place. Officers, volunteer course marshals and CBRM crossing guards will also be present at key points along the route.

There will be considerable traffic congestion in and around the Victoria Park Armouries; police and race officials encourage participants and spectators to allow extra time in advance for parking, which could be quite a distance from the Start and Finish line.

Maps of race routes and all other details surrounding the event are available at www.capebretonfiddlersrun.com.
