Police responded to the County Arena in Coxheath Sunday afternoon, March 8th, to reports of a verbal dispute, where one party had threatened returning with a firearm. Police located and arrested the suspect, without incident, outside the arena; he did not have a weapon in his possession.

Through further investigation, police executed a search warrant on a Membertou residence Sunday evening, seizing a weapon and ammunition.

Jonathan Lindsay Paul was remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre, charged with Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm (x6) and Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited.
