Police on scene after reports of shots fired in Georges River

April 23, 2015

Cape Breton Regional Police are currently on scene in Georges River, after reports of shots fired.

At approximately 1:45 AM, police responded to a domestic related incident on Ross’s Road, involving reports of shots fired; no one was injured, and a male in his 20s fled the scene to a residential trailer in the community.

With the Emergency Response Team and K-9 Unit, police have the area contained; crisis negotiators are also on scene, but the male has so far not obeyed police direction to come out of the residence.

Further information will be released as it becomes available.
