Police looking for suspect in robbery

June 18, 2018

Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating an overnight robbery at the North Sydney Irving Circle K.

Officers responded to the Commercial Street store at approximately 2:30 AM where the clerk reported a man had entered the store with a knife, demanded money and then ran out onto Peppett Street.  The clerk handed over a small amount of money and was not injured. The suspect was wearing grey jogging pants and a black/grey striped hooded shirt with a piece of green material around his head and neck; he had very short dark hair and a moustache.

A K-9 team and Forensic Identification officers were on scene to assist and the investigation has been turned over to the Major Crime Unit. Anyone with information that can help investigators identify the suspect is asked to please contact police at 902-563-5151 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
