Police launched an investigation in September, after receiving several complaints of Break, Enter and Theft. Police were then able to identify potential suspects, who they later apprehended throughout the CBRM area.

After further investigation and a search warrant, police were able to connect the four individuals to a series of Break and Enters in the Mira and Marion Bridge areas, resulting in additional charges.

The Sydney Provincial Court appearances for these individuals are as follows: Christian James Cornelius MacDonald- November 30th, 2015, Dustin James Sudworth- December 2nd, 2015 and Curtis Patrick Boutilier- December 4th, 2015. A warrant has been issued by the provincial court for the forth individual, Catlin Howell’s arrest.

Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information about any of the recent Break, Enter and Theft incidents in these communities, to please call (902) 563-5151 or make an anonymous report through CrimeStoppers.

Police remind citizens to take the necessary precautions to help protect their belongings. Store valuables in a safe and secure place, out of plain sight and report any suspicious activity in and around your neighborhoods immediately, to assist police with efforts to find those responsible.
