Police issue arrest warrant for Stephen William Murrin

Cape Breton Regional Police have issued a Canada-wide warrant of arrest for 23-year-old Stephen William Murrin of Sydney, in connection to an Aggravated Assault on December 21, 2015.

Murrin faces charges of Aggravated Assault and Unlawfully in a Dwelling.

Police originally responded to reports of a disturbance at approximately 12:51 AM on December 21st, where a 26-year-old Scotchtown male had been stabbed. He was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries and later released.

Murrin is described as 6’ tall and 145 lbs, with brown hair, hazel eyes and a light complexion. He is known to be violent and could be dangerous.
