Police investigating North Sydney break, enter and theft

Cape Breton Regional Police request the public’s assistance finding two males believed responsible for a break, enter and theft at a Haley Street residence on December 11th.

The resident of this home – a 95-year-old female – reports that at approximately 5:30 PM, two men entered her home through a window, cut the phone line, and searched through the contents of the house taking jewellery and cash before leaving. She was present during the incident but not injured.

One man is described as tall and slim, wearing grey pants and a black and grey checked jacket, black boots, as well as a red and green mask on his face. The second man, described as shorter in height, had black hair and was wearing a white sweater and black jeans.

Anyone who saw or heard anything in the area at that time, or who has any information about this incident is asked to please call police at 902-563-5151 or anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
