Police investigating motor vehicle and motorcycle collision

July 14, 2016

At approximately 10:10 AM, Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a MVA, where a vehicle and a motorcycle collided on Upper Leitches Creek Road in Upper Leitches Creek.

The male occupant and the female occupant of the vehicle were treated on scene by EHS for non-life threatening injuries.

The male occupant and the female occupant of the motorcycle were both transported by EHS to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The North Sydney Fire Department also responded to the scene, and assisted EHS with their response.

The Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal are currently on-scene, where there is a traffic detour set-up, as the road is expected to be closed for several hours.

Officers from CBRPS North Division, as well as the Traffic Safety and Forensic Identification Units are on scene; police continue to investigate.
