Police investigating Caledonia Club robbery

January 4, 2017

Cape Breton Regional Police request the public’s assistance finding two men who robbed the Caledonia Club on Pitt Street in Glace Bay yesterday, January 3rd, at approximately 5:45 PM.

Police were called there by the lone female staff member, who reports that two men entered the club with a weapon, demanded money, grabbed the cash box and ran away. The staff person was not injured.

Both men were wearing masks covering the bottom halves of their faces. One male is further described as having wavy brown hair sticking out by his ears and standing approximately 5’ 8” tall and 150 pounds.

Police immediately contained the surrounding area and the K9 unit attempted to track the suspects, but police were unable to locate the men. The Major Crime Unit is investigating, with assistance from the Forensic Identification Unit.
