Police investigating break and enter, theft in Sydney

Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating a break and enter and theft that occurred in Sydney early this morning.
At approximately 2:00 AM, police received a report that a man had entered an elderly woman’s home and had taken some of her belongings. The man fled the scene shortly after the woman awoke with an undisclosed amount of property. The victim did not sustain any injuries.
Cape Breton Regional Police continue to investigate.
