Police investigate fatal single-vehicle collision

September 26, 2016

Cape Breton Regional Police responded to a fatal single-vehicle collision on September 25, where a vehicle left the road near Highway 28 in South Bar at approximately 1:25 AM.

The 40-year-old male driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision. The 29-year-old male occupant of the vehicle did not suffer serious injuries, but was transported to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and later released.

Officers from CBRPS Central Division, as well as the Traffic Safety and Forensic Identification Units responded to the scene; police continue to investigate.
