November 18, 2016
Four north side residents will appear in Sydney Provincial Court today to face charges in connection to the theft of a vehicle from Cogan’s Garage in North Sydney.
Cape Breton Regional Police were originally called at approximately 1:30 AM, to reports that someone witnessed two people steal a truck from the Cogan’s lot. Upon arrival, police found the entrance gates damaged, but no one on the premises. While patrolling the area, police spotted a vehicle matching the witness description and activated emergency equipment in attempt to stop the vehicle. Additional officers responded to the area and quickly located the stolen truck and driver at a residence on Queen Street, also placing him under arrest.
Police seized the vehicle – a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado – for further investigation.
