Police arrest woman for drug trafficking

A 46-year-old Sydney Mines woman faces drug-related charges as a result of a joint investigation by the Cape Breton Regional Police Service and the Cape Breton Correctional Facility.

On September 26, members of the CBRPS Street Crime Unit attended the Cape Breton Correctional Facility, where the 46-year-old female was arrested at approximately 6:00 AM. The woman was later released on a Promise To Appear in Sydney Provincial Court at a later date, where she’ll face charges of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in both Marihuana and Hashish, and Trafficking in Marihuana.

CBRPS continues to investigate.
