Police arrest man for impaired driving

A 38-year-old North Sydney man faces an impaired driving charge after Cape Breton Regional Police arrested him on Kings Road in Sydney River early this morning.
At approximately 2:10 AM on July 13, police were conducting routine patrols when an officer noted a vehicle parked in a parking lot with the engine running. The officer approached the vehicle, where it became clear the motorist showed signs of impairment.
The motorist was arrested on scene without incident. He was held in police custody and was released later this morning on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court at a later date.
