Sydney Man arrested for Possession and Trafficking

November 19, 2016

On Friday, November 18th, 2016 at approximately 4:30 pm the Cape Breton Regional Police Service / RCMP Joint Force Drug Sections executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act Search Warrant at a residence on Keltic Drive in Sydney, seizing a substantial quantity of Cocaine & cash.

As a result, 39 year old Michael Basil Ranni of Sydney is charged with Possession for the Purpose to Traffic in Cocaine and 2 Breaches of an Undertaking.

The accused was been remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Facility and will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on Monday November 21st, 2016 for Plea.

Police charge four after vehicle theft

Police arrest male for drug trafficking

On November 8 at approximately 5:00 PM, the CBRPS / RCMP Drug Unit executed a CDSA search warrant at a residence on King Street in New Waterford. As a result of the search, a 37-year-old male was arrested and taken into custody.
