A 19-year-old female from New Victoria will appear in Court in August, to face charges in connection to an overnight motor vehicle collision on Gibbon Street in New Waterford.

Police stop vehicle, seize Marihuana

June 14, 2013

Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime and RCMP Drug Units completed a vehicle stop on the Eskasoni Hwy in Northside East Bay; with a warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act , police searched the vehicle and seized a quantity of Marihuana and cash. Police arrested and charged one male with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Marihuana; he was released on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court on August 22nd.

Police charge man with Arson

A 25-year-old New Waterford will appear in Sydney Provincial Court this afternoon, to face charges in connection with a March 20th fire at 570 Victoria Road in Sydney.

Police stop vehicle, seize prescription drugs

June 13, 2013

Members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime and RCMP Drug Units stopped a vehicle Thursday evening on Sterling Road in Glace Bay. As a result of the vehicle stop, police seized a quantity of Cocaine and Hydromorphone and arrested and charged one male with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Cocaine, and Possession of Hydromorphone. The male was released on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court on August 14th.

Police seek public assistance with investigation of stolen solar panels

Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating the theft of four solar panels from ECBC soil monitoring stations on Daley Road in New Victoria.
