Police learned two female suspects entered the store, assaulted the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot. The clerk, who received minor injuries, pushed the alarm button and several witnesses next door saw the females running towards the rear of the store. Police quickly located the suspects at the rear of the building where they were arrested.

Members of the Major Crime and Forensic Identification Units were called in to investigate, resulting in charges against the two female suspects who were remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre to appear in Sydney Provincial Court on Thursday, May 9, 2013.

Scentia Maria Michael, 25 and Scentina Marie Michael, 24, both face charges of Robbery with Violence and Breaches of an Undertaking.
