A family in North Sydney contacted police Monday night, November 3rd, after someone bit into a chocolate bar at their house and noticed a sewing-type needle inside.

The family advises the bar was received during trick-or-treating on October 31st in the Pierce Street area of North Sydney.

Police have received no other reports of candy bars being tampered with, but remind parents and children to check all items prior to consuming them and report any irregularities to police.
