The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 6 feet tall, 180 lbs, with short light colored hair, no facial hair and having tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a black button up shirt with white on it. The suspect had blood on both arms, was holding a knife and stated that he had just stabbed someone. The suspect was driven a short distance and exited the vehicle on Bentinck St. between Bing Ave and Townsend St. less than a block away. Police flooded the area and conducted an extensive search but were unable to locate the suspect.

The complainant was not injured and police were unable to locate anyone with any injuries in the area nor did they receive any other reports of anyone having been stabbed. The Cape Breton Regional Police General Investigation Section assisted with the investigation and police believe the complaint to be credible but are characterizing it as unusual and are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect involved.
