Upon arrival, police were informed by staff that a male person wearing a disguise had attempted to rob the No Frills Pharmacy, located inside the store, of medication. Police were given a description of the male suspect that had fled the area before arrival of police. No one was injured and nothing was taken.
Police searched the area and arrested a male matching the description of the person that fled from the store. This male suspect was taken to central lockup and members from the Major Crime Unit / Identification Section were called to assist with the investigation.
The 30-year-old suspect from Sydney was charged and remanded to the Cape Breton Correction Centre; he will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on Monday, February 13th, charged with Robbery, Wearing a Disguise in the Commission of an Offence and a Breach of Undertaking.
