On Sunday March 4th, shortly after 2:00 AM, police received a report of an erratic driver on North George St. in Sydney. Police stopped the vehicle on Dorchester St. and arrested a 25-yr-old Sydney man for Impaired Driving. He failed the breath test and was charged with Impaired Driving and Operating a Motor Vehicle with over 80 mg of Alcohol.
Then at around 3:30 AM, police received a report of a vehicle having struck another vehicle in Dooley’s Parking Lot in Sydney and having left the scene. A person traveling behind the vehicle reported it from a cell phone and police stopped the suspect vehicle on George St. The 22-yr-old male driver from the Sydney area was arrested for Impaired Driving. He later failed the breath test and was charged with Impaired Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle with over 80 mg of Alcohol and Driving Without a License.
All three men were released on Promises to Appear and a Notices of Suspension. They will appear in Sydney Provincial Court in April.
