Upon arrival, a 38 year old male stated that he was stabbed in his hand after an argument with another male; it appears the two individuals know each other. The victim was treated by EHS for non-life-threatening injuries, transported to Cape Breton Regional Hospital and later released.

Investigators were called to assist Patrols with the investigation, and as a result, police arrested a 35-year-old male at a residence on Gallagher Street, shortly after the incident. He was remanded to the Cape Breton Correctional Centre and will appear in Sydney Provincial Court on July 2nd, to face charges of Possession of a Weapon, Assault with a Weapon and two Breaches.
