Police charge man for marihuana trafficking

A 62-year-old Sydney man faces drug trafficking charges after a search of his residence last night.

Bernie Jerome MacInnis is charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in Marihuana.

At approximately 9:30 PM, members of the Cape Breton Regional Police Street Crime Unit and RCMP Drug Section executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, at a residence on Cottage Road.

Police seized a substantial quantity of Marihuana and arrested the man, who was later released on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court on March 20, 2015.
