Upon arrival, police located a severely damaged 2012 Nissan Sentra and its four occupants. Two passengers - a 30-year-old female and her 7-month old infant son - were transported to Cape Breton Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police charged the 25-year-old male driver of the vehicle with Impaired Driving and Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm. He was released on a Promise to Appear in Sydney Provincial Court at a later date.
