Community Offices
Through a partnership with the Association for Safer Cape Breton Communities, the CBRM, Bell Aliant and the Cape Breton Island Housing Authority, police operate Community Offices in North Sydney, Sydney Mines, New Waterford and Glace Bay. Community Offices are a safe place for residents to access services and participate in programs focused on crime prevention and community safety. These facilities play a very important role in our communities, offering programs and services that engage youth by helping them strengthen social skills, break down barriers and build trust and relationships with other individuals. The community offices also provide access to key services, like the Internet, that people would otherwise not have the opportunity to use.
Community Offices are the connection between police and residents in the community, to work together to address challenges and create healthy opportunities.
