Upon arrival, police observed a car that later caught fire after apparently rolling over into a wooded area off the highway.

Frenchvale Fire Department assisted on scene. EHS transported a 41 year old male with serious injuries to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. The K-9 unit assisted to determine if there were other persons in the vehicle, but not not locate anything.

Police continue to investigate.
