Combined investigative efforts from Cape Breton Regional Police, Nova Scotia RCMP and the Knox County Sherriff’s Office led Ms. Denny back to authorities in Tennessee, at 1:00 AM local time today, where she confirmed her identity and indicated her intent to return home.

Investigators have been in contact with Ms. Denny's family to share this news.
