Police lay charges in fatal bus-pedestrian collision

Cape Breton Regional Police have laid a charge in their investigation of a fatal collision involving a school bus and a pedestrian on February 11th, where an 18-year-old male died after being run over by a bus on Terrace Street in Sydney.

A 15-year-old male youth from Sydney was charged this afternoon with Criminal Negligence Causing Death. He is scheduled to appear in Sydney Provincial Court on March 25, 2015.

Members of the Major Crime, Traffic Safety and Forensic Identification Units conducted an investigation to determine what led to this fatal collision, resulting in today’s charge.
