Police initially responded to reports of two people entering vehicles at approximately 5:00 AM; upon being noticed, the suspects fled the area on foot. With a description from witnesses, police patrolled the area and quickly spotted the two in a wooded area off Dominion Street, at which time they made an attempt to hide in the bushes. Police surrounded the area in which they were hiding, locating and arresting both male suspects. Police also seized several stolen items from their possession.

The two males remain in police custody pending this afternoon’s Court appearance where the 19-year-old will face charges of Trespass by Night, Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possession of Marihuana and 2 Breaches and the 15-year-old will face charges of Trespass by Night, Theft, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and 4 Breaches.

Police continue to investigate these incidents; anyone who has been victim to a vehicle entry or has information about these incidents or any other suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact police at 563-5151 or anonymously through CrimeStoppers.
